design engineer

A Frontend Engineer with a passion for design, he eventually bridged the gap to become a Design Engineer. Sounds like a movie trailer intro, right?

What do I even do?

I got into building UIs about six years ago. I've worked on everything from live streaming and booking apps to healthcare and web3. Like most people, I started with the web, but I quickly got into the mobile world. That's been my main obsession since, especially now that you can build pretty much anything with javascript.

" Design Engineering is a discipline that exists at the convergence of design and front-end development. It's not simply being good at both, it's a distinct skillset focused on the space where design decisions meet technical implementation. "

Through art and design

I've always been fascinated by good design. Whether it's Japanese architecture, old Land Rovers, manga, or just a clean coffee mug, I`ve always noticed the small details. I'm usually just as curious about the story behind the craft as I am about how it looks.

I'm not much of a writer, as you can probably tell from these short paragraphs. But I do post on Twitter, and you can find my Github if youre curious about how I build things.
